General Questions

Q: What is the JPL Warriors?
A: In short, the Junior Premier League or JPL Warriors is the largest youth league in the United Kingdom. It is split up into regions and regional champions go on to play in National Leagues.

The JPL is not an academy league, neither is it grassroots. It has been designed to bridge the gap between grassroots and Academy.

​

One interesting fact is that 1 in 11 players are scouted for academy teams.

Q: How many JPL Warriors Teams do you have?

A: We have teams from U12 to U15's in the 2025/26 season​.

​

Q: Who can trial?
A: Girls playing U11-U14 (School Years 6-9) who are passionate about football and want to develop in a high-performance environment.

​

​Q: What are you looking for at trials?
A: Attitude, coachability, and potential—not just current ability. We want players who love to learn and compete!

​

 

Trial Process

Q: When are the 2025/26 JPL trials?
A: Phase One: 19th April & 3rd May 2025. Phase Two (by invitation): 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st May. Outside of these times please still register (below) and we will be in touch to discuss options.

Q: How do I register?

Q: Can my daughter trial if she’s already with another club?
A: Yes! We actively encourage players to continue with their grassroots teams.

Training & Commitments

Q: What’s the time commitment if selected?
A: JPL Warriors train 3x weekly:

  • Mon (Technical)

  • Wed (Strength & Conditioning and Dedicated Goalkeeping Training)

  • Fri (Tactical).

We encourage players to continue to attend their grassroots sessions.

Q: Where are training sessions held?
A: Training sessions are held in Bishops Cleeve, Tewkesbury and Evesham on All Weather Pitches.

​

Q: Are there fixture clashes with school/club games?
A: Matches are played on Saturday's, this tends to avoid conflicts with school and grassroots matches.

​

Costs & Logistics

Q: What are the costs for the 2025/26 season?
A: £375 - This includes club membership, monthly subs at £25 per month and training Kit contribution of £150 (worth £230).

The JPL Registration Fee is paid Direct.

Q: What does the fee include?
A: Training venues, transport to away games, post-match meals, match fees, and insurance.

​Selection & Development

Q: How are players selected?
A: Based on attitude, technical ability, and potential. 1 in 11 JPL players are scouted for academies.

​

Q: Can my daughter re-trial if unsuccessful?
A: Absolutely! Many players succeed in subsequent years. Trials reopen March 2026.

​

Q: Is feedback provided after trials?
A: Due to volume, we can’t offer individual feedback post-Phase One but may at Phase Two.

Technical Support

Q: I can’t see trial dates in 360Player. What should I do?
A: Dates appear after bulk processing. If still missing 48h before the trial, Message Damian Mills (Head of Player Development/Recruitment) in the 360Player app or email recruitment@prestburyacademy.co.uk.

​

Q: We can’t attend Phase Two sessions. Will this affect selection?
A: Notify us in advance. While attendance is encouraged, we’ll consider all trial performances.
